This family friendly & pet-friendly house is conveniently located in the Blue Hill Peninsula region and a short drive to Acadia National Park/Mount Desert Island (23 miles, approximately 45 min depending on traffic). 3 bedroom house that can accommodate 6. Features and amenities include well-stocked kitchen, family & entertainment room, tv, WiFi/internet, towels, linens and the fire pit and grill complete the outdoor experience. We welcome well-trained pets (max 2 dogs) for an additional pet fee.

The house is charming, very well-laid out, was clean, and had all the amenities necessary for our comfort! It was private and secluded, which is exactly what we wanted. Cindy was incredibly helpful and communicative with every question we had, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cindy’s place was wonderful for our trip to Acadia National Park. While we knew ahead of time it was a bit of a drive from our hikes, it ended up being so worth it because we got to experience a really local feel in Surry. Cindy took amazing care of us with her recommendations on food, especially knowing how to get some SUBLIME lobster the local way. We appreciated her responsiveness and how incredibly clean the place was. Some very thoughtful design went into meeting the nuanced needs of her guests throughout her home. What a wonderful stay (and I’d also say - we travel a lot - this place is quite underrated in our opinion!).

We loved the place. Very close to Ellsworth for restaurants, etc. yet private. 35min to Mt Desert Island. We enjoyed our stay! Totally recommend 😊

Cindy’s vacation home was great - pleasant, private but a great home base for exploring the peninsula areas of Maine. The drive to Acadia really wasn’t a problem and was actually an advantage if you’re looking to skip living 24/7 in the intensity of Bar Harbor or immediately adjacent to the park…. Easy access to full size supermarket, but also local artisan bakeries and organic veggies, farm-fresh eggs and even farmers’ markets. Full range of restaurants (not just seafood), too, but check for days and hours of operation.
Cindy’s house was comfortable and adaptable to our changing needs - eat out, cook in, keep tidy (but easy!). We had all adults, but there was safe yard space for kiddos and indoor fun for rainy days. Our dogs loved it, too! Really felt home-like, and there was great closet and good drawer/storage space!

This place was perfect for our family of four. It was very well equipped and had everything we needed to make a few meals in the evenings. We actually had issues with the refrigerator/freezer during our stay and the owner/host was very responsive! They brought a cooler for our food and had a repair person out the next morning.

I had a great time in Maine! This trip was so special and the Airbnb was great for relaxing at the end of the day. Very clean and comfortable. My boyfriend proposed to me on this trip at the top of beehive in Acadia so this is definitely a trip to remember!!
